Manchester City vs Arsenal: Time and where to watch Community Shield clash

Premier League winners Manchester City and Arsenal are set for another collision course ahead of the new season. 

City and Arsenal go head-to-head in the Community Shield with both clubs looking to kick off the campaign with silverware. 

The Cityzens and Gunners meet again after an entertaining 2022/2023 campaign which saw City’s Pep Guardiola battle his protege, Mikel Arteta for the Premier League title. 

City were behind for over 240 days as Arteta’s Arsenal looked destined to dethrone the defending champions in a remarkable campaign for the Gunners. 

However, when it mattered most, the Gunners collapsed to give Pep and City a free run to a third consecutive Premier League win. 

As Premier League champions, City will go into this one as favourites while Arsenal will hope to derail and stop the Cityzens from another silverware.

City are playing in their 16th cup final at Wembley but will go into 2023 final looking to end a poor run that has seen them lose the last two. 

For Arteta and Arsenal, this game presents them an opportunity to not only make amends but to also lay down an early marker for the new season. 

The Gunners will face the Cityzens fully motivated and encouraged by their impressive form at Wembley where they have won in their last four outings, including a 3-0 win over Guardiola’s men in the final of the Community Shield back in 2014. 

Arteta will be hoping for a repeat of that performance and result when they take to the pitch on Sunday.
