The bout, held at the Kasarani Indoor Arena, was the culmination of weeks of heated online exchanges and social media taunts between Majembe, whose real name is Portifas Odipo, and Mbavu Destroyer, born Ferdinand Omondi. The intense rivalry fueled massive public interest ahead of fight night.

The event lived up to its billing, with both fighters making WWE-style entrances before the first bell. Throughout the four-round contest, Majembe appeared composed, effectively evading while landing key blows.

The fight reached its climax in the fourth round when Majembe delivered a powerful blow that sent Mbavu Destroyer to the canvas. The referee awarded Majembe a technical knockout (TKO) victory, despite Mbavu's subsequent claims that the decisive punch was an illegal low blow.

Majembe’s Message to Mbavu Destroyer

With the win, Majembe secured the Vurugu belt as well as a massive package that includes a car, a sport bike, and over Sh2.5 million in cash and on Monday, he addressed his losing opponent, dismissing his claims of favouritsm and illegal blow.

“Mbavu the bride, I told you that you would kneel before me,” he posted on Facebook. “However, I still want to thank you for showing up. I know that standing in the ring with me is not a simple thing. Let it be a lesson to other people who have similar habits. I said that you would kneel before me, and you did.”

A fight would be organised by comedian and content creator Oga Obinna and attracted a sold-out crowd at Kasarani Indoor Arena.
