'You're legends' — Mr Macaroni 'honored' to meet Super Eagles stars

Skit maker Mr Macaroni is a proud man after meeting with the Super Eagles players during a dinner night.

Macaroni was one of those invited by Super Eagles sponsors, the Nigerian Breweries, in a timeout with the media.

The comedian was one of the brand ambassadors invited to the dinner held at the exquisite Eko Hotels and Suites on Thursday night.

In what was a well-attended event with Pulse Sports Nigeria in attendance, Macaroni and other brand ambassadors shared special moments with the Super Eagles.

The dinner which started at 9 pm after the team’s training saw Macaroni describe the moment with the players as an honour before he bowed before them.

“Let me say it is a great honour to be standing before you,” Macaroni stated.

“I must take a bow because you are all legends, all of you.”

The Nigeria national team has been in training preparing for a crucial qualifier against Sierra Leone.

Nigeria takes on its Sierra Leone counterparts this Sunday, with a chance to become the latest to seal a place in the final slated for Ivory Coast next year.

The Super Eagles are currently second in Group A but could seal a ticket with a win over the Leone Stars.

In his closing remarks, Macaroni wished the Super Eagles well on behalf of Nigerians.

“First, I want to say from the bottom of my heart (that) I wish you guys well,” he added. “We are rooting for you, no pressure.”
