Luka Dončić returns to Slovenian national team for EuroBasket 2025
A noticeably slimmer Luka Dončić, in good spirits, has joined the Slovenian national team's training camp as they prepare for EuroBasket 2025.
The Slovenian Basketball Federation welcomed the Los Angeles Lakers star with a video of his arrival.
This comes after reports that the Lakers are planning to add Nikola Jokic to their duo of LeBron James and Doncic
Doncic joins Slovenia for Eurobasket
Slovenia, participating in its 15th consecutive EuroBasket, hopes to replicate its 2017 success, when it won its only gold medal.
The 26-year-old Dončić, a key member of the team since 2017, is on coach Aleksander Sekulić's 19-man roster.
As in the 2024 Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Armani Milano's Josh Nebo will be Slovenia's naturalised player.

Doncic joins the Slovenian team after he signed a three year extension with the Lakers.
The Lakers star won the EuroBasket title with in 2017 playing a pivotal role alongside captain Goran Dragic.
He last featured with Slovenia at the 2023 FIBA Men's World Cup where were knocked out by Canada and finished seventh.
Slovenia will face Poland (hosts), France, Belgium, Iceland, and Israel in Group D, which will be held in Katowice.
