Lionel Messi: 808 goats assembled to celebrate Inter Miami star's 808 career goals
Lionel Messi has already enjoyed a Hollywood start to his Inter Miami career.
The 36-year-old Argentine playmaker broke the internet last week with his stunning last minute free-kick for his new club against Mexican club Cruz Azul to win the game for the hosts in their opening Leagues Cup match.
.Messi entered the match in the 54th minute to a huge roar from the sold-out crowd at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
However, the 2022 World Cup champion showed excatly why he is worth his $5o million contract in front of thousands of fans including superstars like Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham, NBA legend LeBron James, Tennis legend Serena Williams, NFL legend Tom Brady and famous American influencer Kim Kardashian.
Messi’s goal against Cruz Azul was his 808th goal in his legendary career.
The former Barcelona and PSG star is one of two only active footballers to have netted over 800 goals in their career.
Lay's gathers 808 goats to celebrate Messi 808 career goals
In celebration of his 808th career goal, popular Snack brand Lay’s gathered 808 goats in a field and lined them up brilliantly to project Lionel Messi’s face from a bird’s eye view in a new ad.
Lay’s took to their social media networks to post the ad with a caption that read: ‘+1 🐐for the 808th goal for the G.O.A.T @leomessi’

Messi who is synonymous with the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) nickname will no doubt go down as possibly the greatest player to ever grace a football pitch.
The majestic Argentine is one of the top 10 highest goalscorers in football history and has been widely regarded as the best player of all time.
Messi is currently in contention for the Ballon d’Or later this year as the Albiceleste skipper could scoop a record 9th Ballon d’Or award in his trophy-laden career.
