‘You’re a disappointment’ - LeBron James dragged to filth on social media over Hamas statement
LeBron James has made the headlines after reacting to the disturbing incidents ongoing in Israel.
Last Saturday, it was reported that Israeli civilians in southern Israel were attacked and killed by Hamas terrorists.
Hamas attacked kibbutzim and even attendees of a music festival, and so far, the death toll has reportedly surpassed 2000 on both sides as a result of the attacks.
The Israeli bombardment is also said to have displaced 260,000 people from Gaza, according to the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees.
The lethal series of attacks has since triggered widespread reactions across the world, and on social media with a number of famous celebrities and athletes lending their voices to support the victims of the war.
Amongst whom included NBA and LA Lakers superstar LeBron James, who took to his social media page to condemn the attacks by Hamas terrorist group.
Reactions as fans call out LeBron James over statement on Hamas attacks
James, 38, took to social media to speak about the "tragic" and "unacceptable" attacks in Israel and condemned Hamas killings in a joint statement with his business partner Maverick Carter posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The statement read:
“The devastation in Israel is tragic and unacceptable. The murder and violence against innocent people by Hamas is terrorism. The murder and violence against innocent people by Hamas is terrorism. The SpringHill Company family sends our deepest condolences to Israel and the Jewish community. We pray for peace in the region and reiterate our continued commitment to fight hate in all its forms. We all must work to ensure this tragedy does not spread even more hate, racism, and antisemitism.”
However, James’ statement has since caused a stir on social media with some fans calling out the billionaire basketballer over his stance on the war.

CNN reported that the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians which spans over 10 years, entered uncharted territory this week after Hamas’ October 7 onslaught, when armed militants poured over the heavily-fortified border into Israel.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 1,200 people have since been killed in Gaza, including hundreds of women and children.
The Israeli bombardment is said to have displaced 260,000 people from Gaza, according to the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees.
