Lagos FA Cup: Robo Queens continue dominance with 13th title
Robo Queens proved they are the best team in Women’s football in Lagos with another easy ride to the Lagos State FA Cup title.
The Landladies were just too good for their opponents Dannaz Ladies following a 3-0 thrashing at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday.
All the goals were scored in a blistering first half display from the NWFL side who reaffirmed their position as the most dominant women’s team in the state.
The victory means Robo Queens have now won the Lagos FA Cup 13 times in their history.
''Stand Up For The Champions! We won our 13th Lagos FA Cup in style," the team posted on their official social media page moments after the win.
Robo continue good form
Their FA Cup win at the weekend was the latest victory for the Landladies, coming days after making it to the Nigeria Women’s Football League Super six.
Robo sealed one of six tickets to the playoff in the football league with another emphatic performance on the final day of the season on April 19.
The Landladies thrashed visitors Confluence Queens 4-0 at the Legacy Pitch to finish in the top three in Group B and ensure they remain in the running for league glory this season.
