They will be joined by a formidable American contingent featuring Kenny Bednarek and Trayvon Bromell, alongside South African powerhouses Akani Simbine and Gift Leotlela, promising a race packed with talent and intrigue.

Kishane Thompson, the world 100m silver medallist, will aim to build on his spectacular 2025 Diamond League campaign, which saw him secure victories in Eugene and Silesia.

Meanwhile, Letsile Tebogo, who won the 200m in Doha and Eugene last year, is looking for redemption in Xiamen after finishing seventh in the 100m at the same event last season.

The defending champion in Xiamen is South Africa's Akani Simbine, who clocked 9.99 seconds to kick off a three-win streak at the start of last season.

With 12 career Diamond League victories, Akani Simbine is determined to finally claim his first overall series title in 2026. He will be accompanied by compatriot Gift Leotlela, who placed fifth at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

The American trio of Coleman, Bromell, and Bednarek brings a wealth of experience and success, boasting a combined 26 Diamond League wins and six Diamond Trophies.

Christian Coleman is the current 100m series champion, having won his third title in Zurich last year. Bednarek claimed the 200m crown in 2021 and 2024, while Bromell was the 100m champion in 2022.

Xiamen marks the third stop of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League circuit. The season kicks off in Doha on May 8 and will culminate with a two-day final in Brussels on September 4-5, bringing together the sport's biggest names across 15 cities and four continents.
