Kenya vs. Estonia: Where to Watch as Harambee Stars Kick Off FIFA Series Campaign
Kenya's national men's football team, the Harambee Stars, is poised to kick off its 2026 campaign against Estonia in the inaugural FIFA Series held in Rwanda.
This friendly tournament is a new initiative by football's world governing body, designed to facilitate competitive matches between nations from different confederations that would not typically meet.
During this international window, Harambee Stars are scheduled to face Estonia and will later play either the host nation, Rwanda, or Grenada.
Harambee Stars vs Estonia: How to Watch
Broadcaster Azam has confirmed it will stream the match live. The platform will also feature other selected FIFA Series games.
The clash between Kenya and Estonia is scheduled for Friday, March 27, with a 7:00 PM EAT kickoff. The match will take place at the Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda's capital city.
This encounter marks the first-ever meeting between the two nations. For Kenya, it is also their first match against European opposition since a friendly against Russia in 2023. Harambee Stars will be eager to rebound from a heavy 8-0 defeat to Senegal in their last outing in November.
With star striker Michael Olunga notably absent from the squad, the attacking burden falls on Real Sociedad's Job Ochieng and CHAN 2024 standout Ryan Ogam, who are expected to lead the attack. Benni McCarthy has also awarded a first senior call-up to midfielder Zech Obiero.
Estonia enter the contest following a morale-boosting 4-2 win over Cyprus, bringing a compact and patient style of play that often frustrates more aggressive opponents.
However, they did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup, finishing fourth in their qualifying group, which was topped by Erling Haaland's Norway.
While Kenya is statistically favoured with a 47%-win probability according to recent data models, they must remain vigilant to avoid the defensive lapses that have plagued them in past months.
This fixture serves as a crucial benchmark for Kenya's preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which they will co-host. In the latest FIFA rankings, Kenya is placed 113th, while Estonia sits at 128th.
