Jude Bellingham: 3 records broken and set by the Real Madrid superstar against Napoli
Real Madrid emerged 3-2 winners against Napoli in a UEFA Champions League group stage game and Jude Bellingham was once again a key factor.
The English superstar scored and assisted a goal each and broke a number of records in the process which will be explored below.
Most UCL starts by an under-21 English player
Bellingham was listed in the starting lineup as expected as he is a man in form and arguably Real Madrid’s best player at the moment.
He started the game at the tip of a midfield diamond in the number 10 role where he has thrived under Carlo Ancelotti this season.
However, what was really just another routine start for Bellingham also turned out to be a personal landmark moment for the young man.
With his 23rd start in the UEFA Champions League, Bellingham becomes the under-21 English player to have started the most games in the competition.
The 20-year-old surpassed Trent Alexander-Arnold who previously held the record with 22 Champions League starts for Liverpool before turning 21 years old.

Bellingham started 21 Champions League matches for Borussia Dortmund and two more now for Real Madrid.
The wonderkid still has up until June 2024 before he turns 21 years old so he will most likely extend that record even more and hold it for years to come.
Most goal involvements for a non-striker this season
Bellingham contributed a goal and an assist each for Real Madrid to seal the win against Napoli in what has now become a regular occurrence due to his lightening start to life in the Spanish capital.
That now makes it eight goals and three assists for Bellingham in eight games for Real Madrid across all competitions this season.
His 11 goal contributions have been the most by a non-striker in all of Europe’s top five European leagues this season.

Bellingham set up Vinicius for Real Madrid's first goal in the 27th minute to level the game after Napoli had taken a surprise lead.
Shortly after that, he got on the score sheet himself with a well-taken finish after a beautiful rum through the Napoli defence in the 34th minute.
Fifth-most UCL goals by an under-21 player
That fantastic goal Bellingham scored against Napoli was his eighth in the UEFA Champions League so far.
Only four players have managed to score more goals in Europe's elite club competition before their 21st birthday.
The exclusive club Bellingham joined includes Erling Haaland with 20 goals, Kylian Mbappe with 19 goals, Karim Benzema with 12 goals and Patrick Kluivert with nine goals.

Of course, Bellingham is the odd one out in this group as all four of the other players are/we're strikers/forwards.
The English midfielder still has plenty of time to move even higher up the list especially if he continues his rich vein of form, there are no limits to his potential accomplishments.
