The charges, filed in June, stem from the alleged February 21st incident where police reportedly found a partially clothed, seemingly intoxicated woman in the passenger seat of a car stopped in the middle of an intersection following a collision.

The woman claimed Jones was driving and had fled the scene.

She then dialed a number on her phone, which she identified as Jones's.

A male voice threatened the officers, even mentioning having friends who could kill them.

The man did not identify himself as Jones.

Police released body camera footage following the alleged incident.

Jones later appeared to indirectly confirm the voice on the phone was his.

Jones's attorney, Christopher Dodd, denied Jones was driving the car that night and claimed the woman was intoxicated and made a false accusation that police readily accepted.
