In-form Eagles midfielder rejects opportunity to join Arsenal in the summer

Michael Olise has been one of the best players for Crystal Palace this season. His creativity, dribbling ability and vision have been fundamental parts of the Eagles' attack throughout the campaign.

The Frenchman was once again in sparkling form as Palace moved a step closer to survival with a 2-0 win over Southampton at the weekend.

Olise's recent form has attracted interest from a host of clubs including league leaders Arsenal but the winger looks set to stay in South London according to The Sun. 

The 21-year-old feels settled at Crystal Palace and wants to continue to develop with regular game time before even considering his next step.

Olise joined Crystal Palace from Reading in 2021 and has been an explosive creative force with two goals and eight assists in 30 Premier League appearances this season.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes Arsenal must win the title to have a better season than Manchester United. 

Speaking after Arsenal's 2-2 draw with West Ham, Ferdinand said:

 “If you're a player, forget fans, and you finish third and win a trophy, Carabao Cup whatever it is and the team above you finish second and win no trophies, who is the happier player?

Arsenal are still top of the Premier League and hold a four-point advantage over Manchester City but Pep Guardiola's men are closing in quickly and next Wednesday's showdown at the Etihad could end up being the title decider.
