‘I know all the referees’ - Guardiola slams officiating after Bournemouth's equaliser
The Citizens claimed a comfortable 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday and moved second on the Premier League table.
The City boss was left furious after Bournemouth's equaliser, scored by Tyler Adams, was allowed to stand during their victory on Sunday.
Guardiola was adamant that David Brooks had fouled goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma by pulling his arm during a set-piece, causing the keeper to misjudge his punch and gift Adams an easy finish.
Guardiola not pleased with officiating
Guardiola has insisted that it was a clear foul and that referee Anthony Taylor should have ruled out the goal.
In his post-match comments, the Spaniard suggested a long-standing pattern of poor officiating against his club.
"I don't call the officials and the referees, I'm not the manager to do that," he stated. "Of course they will not call me, but [Brooks] went there and pulled [Donnarumma's arm] down and made it unstable."
"And after that, I'm sorry to tell you. But I said many times, I know all the referees, I know them a decade perfectly, what is going on in this stadium. I know it."
He continued, expressing his frustration with the lack of communication: "I said to [Taylor] after when we see each other, tell me if it's a foul or not because I'm waiting.
“If it's a foul or not, just tell me. Just take a look. It's fine. They're brave here. In the Etihad, they are brave, so brave. I'm one decade here and we know each other quite well."
