'I am a Manchester United fan' — ₦31 Billion Super Eagles striker desperate to join Red Devils
Pulse Sports reported that Genk striker Tolu Arokodare has emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester United, and the 24-year-old Nigerian international is keen to join the Premier League giants.
Arokodare, who netted an impressive 23 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for Genk last season, has caught United’s attention as they aim to strengthen their attacking options this summer.
The Red Devils, who are reportedly close to signing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, had initially set their sights on Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, but Chelsea swooped in to sign him.
Tolu Arokodare to Manchester United?
Speaking to Sports Boom, Arokodare opened up on a potential move to Old Trafford:
“Obviously, it's a dream to play in the Premier League, but I have my eyes on it for sure. Whatever options I have, I'll take my time and make the best decision.
"I'm a Manchester United fan, and if it happens, it would mean a lot to me and my family. Of course, it would be a dream come true.”
Since joining Genk in January 2023, Arokodare has scored 40 goals and provided 12 assists in 108 appearances, showcasing his clinical finishing and versatility.
