Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker on loan from Napoli, couldn’t hide his delight after Galatasaray’s 2-0 victory over Trabzonspor brought them within touching distance of a third consecutive Super Lig title.

The clip, shared by Le Marcaspors, showed the jubilant crowd chanting Osimhen’s name for his pivotal role this season, which has become a hallmark of the club’s electric atmosphere. 

“That guy is a legend,” Osimhen wrote, adding laughter and heart emojis to express his affection for the passionate fanbase.

Though the 26-year-old didn’t add to his goal tally against Trabzonspor, his presence was felt, stretching the opposition defence and creating space for his teammates. 

Galatasaray’s dominance was evident, with Bardakci’s towering header and Morata’s clinical finish sealing the deal. 

The result sets up a thrilling week, as a draw or win in their next match could see the Cim-Bom crowned champions, potentially before their clash with cup final rivals.

Osimhen’s loan spell has been a revelation, with fans and teammates hailing his work rate and flair.
