'He is sure to win it' - Rashford tips Barcelona teammate to clinch 2025 Ballon d'Or
Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford has expressed full confidence in his new team’s ability to challenge for every trophy this season, insisting the squad has the mentality and quality to dominate across all competitions.
What Rashford said
In an exclusive interview with SPORT, the England international reflected on his summer move to the Camp Nou, his adaptation in Spain, and his admiration for the next generation of Barça talent.
“This team has the foundations to achieve it. Otherwise, they would not have won three trophies last season,” Rashford said.
He continued, “The mentality and motivation are high; I don’t see any reason not to win all the trophies we play. For me, this team is ready to win. I just want to help however I can.”
“As a person, Lamine is an 18-year-old boy, always funny, laughing, playing jokes with others. And as a footballer, he is a top talent. The most surprising thing is how mature he is for his age. How he thinks and plays. He is well above his age
“Dembele, Raphina, they all deserve it. It’s hard to pick one, but they’re all mature and have had a fantastic season. Lamine is so young that he is sure to win it," he added.
The English forward joined Barcelona from Manchester United on loan and made his debut against Mallorca.
