Harry Maguire ready to depart Man United, gives reason for decision
Maguire, who joined Manchester United from Leicester for a fee of 89.3 million euros, has struggled to get into Erik Ten Hag’s side.
The defender has faced much criticism from the fans after making so many errors that have cost his team in recent years and also this season.
Harry Maguire wants to fight for his place
The 30-year-old has struggled to get into Ten Hag’s team but he is ready to fight for his place and return to the starting eleven.
Maguire has made only 13 appearances for United in the Premier League this season. His performance has led to Erik Ten Hag losing faith in him as he drops down the pecking order.
Despite being dropped to the bench this season, the England defender wants to stick around and compete for a starting spot not minding how difficult it will be for him.
Harry Maguire attracting interest
Regardless of his playing time at United, Harry Maguire still attracts interest from several clubs in England and Europe.
The defender is worried that his prospects of starting for Gareth Southgate's team at the European Championship may be hampered by a lack of game time next season and he is considering moving to another club.
During the January transfer window, Maguire drew interest from West Ham, Inter Milan, and Roma. He will also get bids in the summer if he is to leave Man United.
Although there is no pressing need for United to offload Maguire this summer. However, if need be, United would benefit more because the defender has two more years in his contract.
Manchester United will welcome Tottenham to Old Trafford today with Maguire not expected to be in the starting lineup as they continue their hunt for Champions League football.
