COAS Shooters showed their intention of returning back to the top-tier handball league as they got a big victory on day 1 of the National Division One League which commenced in Benin City, Edo State on Sunday.

The Shooters began their campaign to return to the Ardova Handball Premier League superbly as they zoomed past Yobe Boys of Kebbi with a 37-20 victory in the men's category.
Other matches
There were more matches in the men’s division, Osun United beat Mindscope Academy 28-21 while Ondo State Handball Club saw off Adamawa with a 34-28 victory.

Nasarawa State Handball Club also earned a 28-20 victory over AIDIA
In the women's category, Rivers State Handball Club earned a massive 33-11 victory over Uniben’s handball club while COAS Babes defeated Mindscope Academy 38-23.
