'Ghana are the better team' - Nigerian Afrobeats singer Fireboy compares Blacks stars and Super Eagles
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have struggled in recent games, most especially in their World Cup qualifying rounds.
The team is on the verge of not making the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a disappointing 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe.
Nigerian Afrobeats star Fireboy DML has expressed his worries about the Super Eagles' current form, especially after their World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.
Fireboy speaks on Super Eagles
He acknowledges that Nigeria boasts superior individual talents compared to Ghana but believes the Ghanaian team displays better cohesion.
Speaking on the 90’s Baby show, Fireboy said, “Right now, Ghana are the better team. Individually, we’re better, but as a team, they’re better, from what I’ve watched.
“For some reason, we’ve not been able to combine the brilliance of each player to form something solid. I think it’ll take some time. We have a lot of stars.
“Ghana have Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus. Those two alone, we don’t have a midfield that can battle them right now. Look at how Partey handled Madrid. That guy is a serious baller.”
