For the most beautiful reason - World indoor champion Mujinga Kambundji announces she is pregnant with her first child
Sprint queen Mujinga Kambundji has announced she is pregnant with her first child and will be out of competition until the 2026 season.
The 31-year-old track icon took to her Instagram page to make public the good news.

Kambundji is one of the world's most respected female sprinters with multiple European and global medals.
The Swiss legend won 200m bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships, and she is the 2022 and 2025 World Indoor champion, becoming the joint fourth-fastest woman of all time in the event, after earning a bronze in 2018 clocking 6.96s. In addition, she is a four-time European Championships medallist and a three-time indoor medallist.
Kambundji won her second world 60m title just two months ago in China and even competed in the 100m at the Doha Diamond League last week, posting 11.49s.
