The Promotion/Relegation Playoff dates for the clash pitting Migori Youth and Wazito FC have been set by the Football Kenya Federation.

Migori Youth will host Wazito - who are looking to preserve their Premier League status - on Saturday 15 July at the Migori Stadium for the first leg of action. The return leg will be played exactly a week later at Muhoroni Stadium when Wazito will host the Nationa Super League side.

Migori outwitted Mara Sugar to earn a playoff ticket after a tight third-place race in the NSL. The Migori-based club at one time came close to losing the spot after Mara Sugar beat Silibwet Leons 7-0 to move third.

However, Migori Youth were never dispirited and fought back to claim the third spot, consequently booking a date with Wazito.

Wazito, the 2019 NSL champions, are looking to remain in the Premier League through the playoffs for the second time after doing so against Murang'a Seal in August 2021. Just like the recently concluded season, Wazito finished 16th with Murang'a Seal finishing third in the second tier.

Wazito prevailed but did not have an impressive campaign in the 2022–23 season and are now faced with a similar task: to retain top-tier status through the playoffs.

Should Migori Youth beat Wazito over the two legs, they will join Shabana, the National Super League champions, and Murang'a Seal in the Premier League. It will also be their debut season in the top flight.
