Weghorst breaks Old Trafford duck against Real Betis
Weghorst had been plagued by a poor run in front of goal that had seen him fail to score in Manchester United’s last 11 games despite being a starter in the team and had endured immense criticism before and during the match against Real Betis.

He had already missed two big chances to get on the score sheet against Real Betis before he eventually found the back of the net in the 82nd minute with Manchester United’s fourth and final goal, and he celebrated wildly, showing the importance of the goal to him.
After breaking his Old Trafford duck, Manchester United fans will be hoping that Wghorst can embark on a scoring run as long as his drought run as they enter a critical part of the season where they will fight for every point or goal they can get to finish well in the three competitions they are currently fighting for.
