As it happened: Manchester United score all four goals in disappointing draw against Sevilla
- That is all from us for now, we hope you have had as much fun as we have had doing this.
See what people are saying about #MUNSEV
- As expected, Harry Maguire is going to have a tough time sleeping tonight, the further he stays away from social media, the better

- 90+4' Two minutes left of the stoppage time and Sevilla are now going all out to win this after being in the doldrums after 25 minutes.
- 90+2' Manchester United have blown it! Sevilla delirious! The effort has paid off as Harry Maguire's unfortunate own goal sees the LaLIga side find an equaliser late on. Manchester United 2-2 Sevilla

⚽ GOAL SEVILLA
- 90' Sevilla pressing their advantage and looking for an equaliser with Papu Gomes coming on for the final few minutes.
- From a place of relative comfort, Manchester United are now having to look over their shoulder with a difficult trip to Seville still to come.
- 84' Incredible scenes as the back as Malacia's error lets Sevilla back into the game with a huge error at the back. Manchester United 2-1 Sevilla
⚽ GOAL SEVILLA
- 82' Manchester United come close to making it 3-0 as Malacia pulls his shot well wide of goal from a good chance for the Red Devils
- 77' Sevilla showing initiative in the closing stages of the match as they look to rescue the tie with a goal of their own tonight
- 74' Sevilla looking to change that by bringing on attacking midfielder Suso for centre-back Tanguy Nianzou
- 72' Incredibly, with almost 30 minutes of the second half played, we still have not had a shot on target from either side. Still Manchester United 2-0 Sevilla
- Manchester United have some really famous fans

- 64' Change for Sevilla as Mendillibar realises he cannot do without En-Nesyri. Squad discipline be damned, the Moroccan comes on for Lamela.
- 63' Yaccine Bounou also plays himself into trouble as he is closed down by substitute Weghorst who almost scores a freak goal from Bono's clearance.
- 62' A triple substitution for the home side as Christian Eriksen, Wout Weghorst, and Anthony Elanga come on for Bruno Fernandes who was on a yellow card, and Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho respectively.

61' Finally some life in the game again as Manchester United's Antony sends an effort rattling against the post.
- 60' Both sides now look like they are ready to settle for the result or worse still, unable to do better than gifting each other possession without any real hassle
- 55' Ten minutes into the second half, and there is still no shot on target from either side, the only shot of the second half coming from a wayward Martial effort.
- 51' Manchester United finding the start of the second half a lot harder than the start of the first half, as Sevilla appear more compact, and have clearly taken some confidence from the end of the first half.
- Both sides with half-time changes as Harry Maguire replaces Raphael Varane for Manchester United and former Manchester City man Jesus Navas replaces Oliver Torres for Sevilla

- Half-time at Old Trafford as Manchester United see out a comfortable lead despite a late flurry from Sevilla. Manchester United 2-0 Sevilla
- 45+2. Just as we say that Sevilla come within inches of scoring, as Raphael Varane clears off the line, preventing Lamela from turning the ball in following a superb David De Gea save
- 44' As half-time approaches, Sevilla are yet to register a shot on target, compared to Manchester United's five. Still Manchester United 2-0 Sevilla
- This is what Manchester United will miss in the second leg against Sevilla
50/50 – Since his Man Utd debut in February 2020, Bruno Fernandes is one of just two players in the big-five European leagues to register at least 50 goals (60) and 50 assists (50) across all competitions, after Lionel Messi (80G, 59A). Bullseye. pic.twitter.com/EsXn10FHuS
— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) April 13, 2023
- 41' Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes WILL MISS THE SECOND LEG IN SEVILLE after becoming the first Manchester United player to receive a booking.
- 38' Sevilla pick up another yellow card as Erik Lamela becomes the third player to receive a yellow card after a VAR check to determine if his stamp on Caemiro was accidental or intentional
- 32' Sabitzer comes close to making it a hat-trick as he narrowly missed an Antony cross into the box.
- 30' Manchester United are still on the ascendancy against Sevilla and they look dangerous every time they have the ball around the Spaniard's box.
2 - #Sevilla have conceded 2+ goals in the first 25 minutes in a single #UEFAEuropaLeague game for just the second time in the competition. The first one was in December 2010 vs PSG. Nightmare.
— OptaJose (@OptaJose) April 13, 2023
- 25' Sevilla pick up another yellow card, as ex-Barcelona man Ivan Rakitic catches ex-Real Madrid man Casemiro late.
- 24' Manchester United look like running riot against Sevilla as the visitors appear shell-shocked by the Red Devils' tactics that have Sabitzer making late runs past what now looks like a vacated Sevilla midfield and defence.
- The Frenchman played a brilliant pass into the on-loan Austrian midfielder who found the back of the net with some finesse.
- 20' Anthony Martial with more brilliance to set up Sabitzer for his and Manchester United's second goal of the game.
⚽ GOAL MANCHESTER UNITED
- 17' Sevilla close to an immediate response as Tyrell Malacia had his pocket picked, but Lucas Ocampos' cross could not find anyone in the box.
- 14' Manchester United take the lead after some brilliant work from Martial and Bruno Fernandes sets up Marcel Sabitzer to make it Manchester United 1-0 Sevilla

⚽ GOAL MANCHESTER UNITED (FOR REAL THIS TIME)
- Sevilla coach Jose Luis Mendilibar will be pulling his hair out after he literally warned the players about picking up unnecessary cards in his pre-match press conference
- 11' World Cup winner Gonzalo Montiel becomes the first to enter the referee's book as he receives a yellow card for dissent that rules him out of the second leg.
- 6' Sevilla record the first real shot of the game as Nemanja Gudelj fires well wide of the goal
- Oooh. Sevilla let off the hook as the early goal is ruled out.
- I've barely gotten into my seat and Manchester United have taken the lead in the first minute
⚽ GOAL Manchester United
- KICK-OFF at Old Trafford Manchester United 0-0 Sevilla
- Sevilla midfielder Fernando charged his side to be at their best against Manchester United, saying, "We know the difficulty we face tonight and we have to be at our best. We know what we have to do – we know they’re very strong on the counter, very fast, and we have to try to get on the ball and make them chase it."
- Alex Telles, who is on loan at Sevilla from Manchester United, could face his parent club after making the bench for the quarterfinal.
A familiar face at Old Trafford.

- Team news is in, and there are no real surprises for Manchester United, although they are crucially without the competition's top-scorer Marcus Rashford who will miss the game through injury. Coach Erik Ten Hag has gone with a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Anthony Martial leading the line for the Red Devils.

- Before last season, Sevilla had not lost against an English side, beating Manchester United and in their run of eight games without defeat against English teams that was halted by West Ham last season.
- Sevilla will expectedly be tricky customers and although the record champions in the competition have lost most of the players in squads that helped them to glory in six previous editions, they still hold a very serious proposition for the Red Devils.
- Manchester United will however be confident of getting one over their LaLiga opponents, after having already dispatched two teams from the Spanish top division in the Europa League this season, including league leaders Barcelona, and Sevilla's cross-town neighbours Real Betis.
- The Red Devils also have a bad run against Spanish teams in general after suffering five European exits at the hands of Spanish teams in their last six eliminations.
- Manchester United take on Sevilla looking to break their hoodoo against the Spanish club after failing to advance in any of the competitive fixtures against them since 2013.
