Enough is enough! Chelsea boss Maresca to bench Blues star for ₦40 Billion signing
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is contemplating changes to his starting lineup to arrest the poor results over the past few weeks.
After a promising first half of the season, Chelsea's title hopes have faded into thin air, with the team now sitting sixth in the table.
A disappointing run of form since Christmas has seen the Blues win just one of their four league games in 2025, including a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez's error, which led to Erling Haaland's goal, has raised serious concerns about his reliability.
Sanchez has now made five errors leading directly to goals this season, the most of any Premier League goalkeeper.

According to Metro, even though Maresca has publicly defended Sanchez, he may be forced to reconsider his starting lineup for Chelsea's next match against West Ham.
The Blues boss is considering dropping Sanchez in favor of backup goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.
Jorgensen, who joined Chelsea from Villarreal last summer for £21m, has made 13 appearances for the team, although only two of those have come in the league.
