In an interview with Rio Ferdinand for TNT Sports in 2015, Drogba cited Ferdinand himself, Nemanja Vidic, and Barcelona's Carlos Puyol as the toughest opponents he faced.
What Drogba said
Drogba, who scored 104 goals in 254 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, admitted that he took particular pride in scoring against Manchester United, where Ferdinand and Vidic played.
"When I was scoring against Man U, I was really happy because I didn't score much," Drogba said.
Ferdinand asked Drogba if he preferred playing against defenders who were intimidated by his physical presence, but Drogba explained that he had to adapt his game when he joined Chelsea.
"I had to change my game to adapt to them," Drogba said, referencing his partnership with Frank Lampard and Arjen Robben.
