As the Nigeria Super Eagles gear up for their critical 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda, two of the team’s stars, Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina, found themselves at the centre of an unexpected and humorous situation upon arriving at the national team camp.
Alex Iwobi and Ola Ain to share a bed
The Premier League regulars were stunned to discover they would be sharing a single bed in their accommodation.
Iwobi who has been in good form for Fulham and Aina who is having an incredible season have been pillars of the Super Eagles for years with a combined 120 appearances.

However, the prospect of sharing a bed has added a lighthearted twist to their preparations for the crucial match.
Iwobi and Aina were part of the third batch that arrived at the Super Eagles camp led by captain William Troost-Ekong.
A post circulating on social media captured the players’ reactions to seeing their new reality upon arrival at camp.
Amid the laughter, Ola Aina was overheard joking with teammates, playfully warning, “Iwobi should not kiss me!”.
The timing of the revelation couldn’t be more significant, as the Super Eagles are under pressure to turn around their faltering World Cup qualifying campaign.
Currently winless in their first four matches of the CAF Group C qualifiers, Nigeria sits at the bottom of the table, with only six games remaining to secure automatic qualification or a playoff spot.
