Djokovic drops 500 points in the new ATP rankings after Wimbledon
Following Wimbledon, the new ATP rankings see no change in position for Novak Djokovic. At the top, only Taylor Fritz jumped from fifth to fourth, while Jannik Sinner solidified his place at the summit.
Jannik Sinner earned 1,600 points with his title win, securing the top spot with 12,030 points.
Despite his loss in the final, Carlos Alcaraz retained his ranking but dropped 700 points. He is followed by Alexander Zverev, and then Taylor Fritz, who moved ahead of Jack Draper thanks to a 400-point boost.
Novak Djokovic is sixth with 4,130 points, having lost 500 points after his semifinal defeat, as he was a finalist last year.
Lorenzo Musetti, Holger Rune, and Ben Shelton follow. Shelton climbed to ninth place with 200 additional points. Andrey Rublev gained 190 points, moving up four spots to become the world's 10th-ranked player.
Among other Serbian players in the top 100, Miomir Kecmanović dropped one position to 50th, Laslo Đere remained at 60th, and Hamad Međedović fell four places to 72nd in the ATP rankings.
ATP Rankings after Wimbledon
The ATP rankings landscape continues to evolve as the 2025 tennis season unfolds, with Jannik Sinner firmly cementing his place at the top of the leaderboard.
Sinner currently holds 12,030 points, showcasing his dominance this season. His form has been so impressive that he's now priced at +1600 in outright betting markets, signaling strong expectations from bookmakers for continued success.
Following him is Carlos Alcaraz, the young Spaniard with 8,600 points, who remains a constant threat on all surfaces.
Despite trailing Sinner by a considerable margin, his betting odds of -700 suggest that he’s still a favorite in many upcoming tournaments, possibly due to his dynamic playing style and consistency.
Alexander Zverev sits in third place with 6,310 points, having shown steady improvement, while Taylor Fritz holds fourth with 5,035 points, paired with promising +400 odds, indicating an outside chance of major tournament success. Interestingly, Jack Draper is ranked fifth with 4,650 points, though no current odds are listed beside his name, possibly reflecting market uncertainty or recent entry into the top-tier rankings.
Veteran champion Novak Djokovic now ranks sixth with 4,130 points, a noticeable drop for the 24-time Grand Slam winner. His -500 odds still imply he remains a formidable contender, albeit one potentially affected by age or injury. Lorenzo Musetti and Holger Rune follow closely with 3,350 and 3,340 points respectively, both showing negative movement in odds (-790 and -190), suggesting dips in form or difficult draws ahead.
Meanwhile, Ben Shelton and Andrey Rublev round out the top ten, holding 3,330 and 3,110 points. Their +200 and +190 odds reflect growing potential and confidence among fans and analysts that they could cause upsets in major tournaments this season.
Overall, the 2025 ATP Tour is shaping up to be highly competitive, with rising stars challenging veterans and betting markets constantly adjusting to on-court performances. Sinner’s lead is commanding, but with players like Alcaraz, Djokovic, and Zverev close behind, the race for year-end No. 1 is far from over.
