Despite the clear interest, availability and unique market opportunity, neither of the interested parties have triggered the release clause, and EPL Analysis reports that they have stalled internationally.

Per the report, Leicester are facing a nine-point deduction for alleged breaches of the Premier League and EFL’s profit and sustainability rules. If they face punishment, they could be rifted with more financial strife.

The interested clubs are lying on the prowl and expect to sign Ndidi for even cheaper than his release clause if Leicester are hit with the ban.
