Xaud highlighted Brazil's desire for closer ties with FIFA and offered the country as a host, a suggestion Infantino reportedly welcomed positively.

This declaration places Brazil among other nations considering bids for the 2029 tournament, along with the United States, the current hosts.

Australia has previously indicated it would consider bidding, and Morocco, alongside Spain and Portugal, have expressed interest in hosting the event a year before co-hosting the men's World Cup.

“It all started with an introductory conversation,” Xaud said via The Athletic.

“I spoke about my goals as head of the CBF and said that we want to be closer to FIFA. I praised the event and the level of Brazilian clubs and, finally, I made the country available to host the next World Cup.

“President Gianni Infantino was very happy and said that it was totally possible. Now we’re going to work to make it happen. It’s going to be a great goal.”

How is the current Club World Cup going?

While attendances have fluctuated, the South American clubs have caught the eye with impressive displays against European teams; Botafogo stunned Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday night and Flamengo upset Conference League winners Chelsea the following day.

Although Bayern Munich beat Boca Juniors 2-1, the German outfit needed an 84th-minute goal from Michael Olise to overcome the Argentine giants.
