Chelsea set to make inquires on Victor Osimhen
Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly set to make inquiries for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen over a possible transfer.
The 24-year-old has had a tremendous season with Napoli, leading them to their first Scudetto title in over three decades.
He is viewed as one of the best players in his position, winning the Capocannoniere and consequently the best striker award. This has made him the subject of interest for a number of clubs, including the Mauricio Pochettino-coached side.
What happened
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are about to make a phone call to Napoli to discuss the possible transfer of the Nigerian ace.
As Pulse Sports reported earlier, despite Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis's claim that they have an agreement in principle with Osimhen over a two-year extension, the player will be allowed to leave if a huge offer comes in.
It is claimed that Napoli are asking for an above €150 million fee for the striker, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain currently front runners.
The Blues are expected to throw their hats in the ring for the player and will ask about his availability.
