Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has officially named his starting XI for Kenya’s opening match of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 against two-time champions DR Congo, scheduled for this afternoon, Sunday, August 3, at Kasarani Stadium.
This will be Kenya’s debut appearance at the CHAN tournament, which features exclusively home-based players. With the full backing of a partisan crowd expected at Kasarani, McCarthy will be hoping for a strong start to set the tone in a highly competitive Group A, which also includes Angola, Morocco, and Zambia.
Kenya, who have been placed in group A, will be facing the Central African side hoping to get their campaign off on the right foot in front of their fans.
