'Can't keep a clean sheet with this guy' - Reactions as Manchester United fans troll Maguire despite FA Cup win
Manchester United hosted Reading FC at Old Trafford on Saturday night in the semi-finals of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Red Devils were hoping to take on step closer to their quest for silverware this season when they came up against the Championship team.
As expected it was one way traffic in the opening 45 minutes with the hosts dominating possession and creating the better chances.
United though they had opened the scoring in 36th minute after the in-form Marcus Rashford fired home brilliantly.
However, his effort was ultimately ruled out for offside by VAR as Reading survived a close shave.
The visitors were no match for the hosts in the opening half, registering just one shot on target.
However, Erik ten Hag’s men equally could not make the most of their time on the ball as United were forced into the break with the scores deadlocked at half time.
Second Half
The second half, however, was an entirely different story as the floodgates opened at Old trafford with four goals being scored.
The hosts begun the party in the 54th minute after Antony found Casemiro who tucked home a classy finish to give the Red Devils the lead.

Four minutes after the hosts found cause to jubilate again as Casemiro bagged his brace finishing off a pass from Fred and doubling United’s lead.
Reading just had no answer to United’s superiority and soon found themselves one man down after former Liverpool striker Andy Caroll was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 65th minute.

Fred himself would eventually get in on the action in the 66th minute firing home United’s third and putting the game beyond the visitors reach.

Reading would eventually respond soon after as 21-year-old Senegalese defender Amadou Salif Mbengue pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 72nd minute to ensure they didn’t go down without a fight.
