Bukayo Saka: Sanwo-Olu explains meeting with Arsenal star
British professional footballer of Nigerian descent, Bukayo Saka, met with the two-term governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday, June 3.
The meeting between Saka and Governor Sanwo-Olu was earlier reported to happen soon by pulse sports.
After Manchester City defeated neighbors Manchester United to win the FA Cup, it was announced that Saka met with the governor.
Why Bukayo Saka met with governor Sanwo-Olu
The Lagos State governor went viral for receiving a 2022/23 Arsenal shirt from Saka.
However, in a statement by the governor on his official social media platforms, he explained the meeting with the Arsenal star.

Sanwo-Olu explained his delight at meeting Saka because he is an Arsenal supporter.
The governor then went on to explain that the Arsenal team that finished second, which Saka was a part of is an inspiration to the youth in the state.

Saka, a fan favorite who posed for the new Arsenal and Adidas home shirts for the 2023–24 season, is anticipated to meet and greet with supporters before departing.
