Nigerians rejoice as Bukayo Saka lands in Lagos for holiday

England international football star of Nigerian descent, Bukayo Saka, is in Lagos.

The 21-year-old forward touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

Saka comes to Lagos on vacation following the conclusion of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

The youngster played an important role for the Gunners as they finished second in the Premier League behind eventual winners Manchester City.

The arrival of Saka in Nigeria comes after he modeled their new home jersey designed by international sports brand Adidas for the 2023/24 season. 

Saka also ended the season with a bumper pay rise on his new contract until 2028 with the Gunners. 

Born to Nigerian immigrants in the United Kingdom, Saka has always been tipped to wear the Green and white of the Super Eagles but chose to represent England the country he was born.
