This historic victory not only sealed their European fate but also ended a 10-match winless head-to-head run against Rennes that stretched back 37 years.
A Breton Derby Filled with Firepower
Both sides, vying for European qualification, came out firing in a crucial match. Stade Brestois struck first with a quick double from Arnaud Kalimuendo within the opening five minutes.

Brest continued to push forward, with Warmed Omari's own goal and a diving header by Martin Satriano giving them a 4-1 lead early in the second half.
Rennes refused to surrender, with goals from Mahdi Camara and Arthur Theate keeping them in the contest.
Martin Terrier thought he had equalized for Rennes late on, but Stade Brestois had the final say.
