Brazil slayer Sadio Mane breaks silence, explains Sane bust-up at Bayern Munich
Senegalese forward Sadio Mane has spoken out for the first time about his fight with teammate Leroy Sane.
Bayern Munich forwards Mane and Sane were involved in a bust-up back in April after a heavy defeat at Manchester City in the Champions League.
Both players argued while walking down the tunnel during the encounter at the Etihad. The altercation led to the Senegal star punching his German teammate in the face.
He was subsequently punished and fined £250, 000 which was the biggest fine in Bayern’s history.
Mane speaks out for the first time
The 31-year-old joined the Bavarians from Liverpool last summer in a celebrated transfer.
However, following the incident at the Etihad, Mane has failed to enjoy a good run with the German champions.
He fell out of favour with manager Thomas Tuchel and was named the most disappointing player in the Bundesliga in what was his debut season.
Mane has now spoken about the fight with Sane according to a report by Football Joe on Instagram
“This kind of things can happen. It happened. We were able to solve this small problem.“Sometimes it’s good to solve problems, but maybe not in this way," he said according to the post.
"It’s behind us now. We’ll try to fight together to help the club achieve its goals next season.”Speaking further, the former Southampton man confirmed that he will be at the Allianz Arena next season after his vacation in Senegal.
“God willing. If everything goes well, I’m going to return to Bayern.”
