Boss Move! Kenyan Club Seals Lucrative Deal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Company
FKF Nairobi East Regional League Zone B side Kahawa Pride FC has announced a significant two-year partnership with AVACR7 (Advanced Recovery for Athletes by CR7), the recovery company owned by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kahawa Pride, which competes in the FKF Nairobi East Regional League, confirmed the deal through a statement via social media as it prepares for the rest of the season.
“Kahawa Pride FC X AVA CR7. Standards matter. We choose excellence,” the club announced.
The agreement will provide Kahawa Pride with modern recovery gear and specialised equipment aimed at improving player regeneration, preventing injuries, and enhancing overall physical conditioning.
As per Mozzart Sport, the recovery package is valued at over Ksh2 million, a massive boost for a club playing in Kenya’s fifth tier.
More Sponsorship for Kahawa Pride
With the entire Kenyan football pyramid struggling to put together proper structures to professionalise their clubs, Kahawa Pride are emerging as a model that even seasoned sides that have been in existence for over 60 years can learn from.
The deal with AVACR7 comes after the club also sealed a kit sponsorship with Betway Scores, the official scoring app linked to renowned transfer news guru Fabrizio Romano.
Kahawa Pride are in position 15 in the 18-team log with just five points following a series of off-field issues.
Having joined the league by taking over the spot previously held by Union FC, they were handed a six-point deduction after the former club forfeited two matches owing to financial challenges, a decision they have since appealed.
