Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has named a 23-man squad for two crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against The Gambia and Seychelles.
The South African tactician, who has blended experienced internationals with emerging local talent, will be hoping to steer Kenya closer to its first-ever World Cup appearance.
Among the notable inclusions is winger Job Ochieng, who earns his maiden senior call-up after impressing for the La Liga giants Real Sociedad.

13 players from the historic CHAN campaign also retain their spots, underlining McCarthy’s commitment to continuity and rewarding consistent performers.
The squad features a mix of Europe-based stars and homegrown talent, offering both depth and versatility.
Kenya will first host The Gambia on Friday, September 5, 2025, before squaring off against Seychelles on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Both matches will be played at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, kicking off at 4:00 pm.
Currently, the Harambee Stars sit fourth in their group with six points. Ivory Coast top the standings with 16, closely followed by Gabon on 15 and Burundi on 10.
