Partey, 30, has bags of LALIGA experience, as he came up through the ranks of Barcelona's rivals Atletico Madrid before moving to England to play for the Gunners in the Summer of 2020 for his €50 million release clause.

Barcelona remain in the market for a player in defensive midfield, following Sergio Busquets exit at the end of last season, for a sojourn in America with Inter Miami.

They signed Oriol Romeu last summer from Girona, but the former La Masia man failed to fill the big boots of Busquets. Barcelona are back in the market for a more permanent solution in the position and Arsenal's Partey is viewed as a viable option.

According to Sportskeeda, Barcelona have asked about the Ghanaian, and Arsenal are said to be willing to listen to offers for the injury-prone midfielder.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have completed the signing of Guido Rodriguez from Betis on a free transfer. Guido occupies a similar position; however, Barcelona are said to view him as a squad player.
