With a decisive 104–73 win against Nigeria's Rivers Hoopers, APR of Rwanda secured its spot in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Semifinals.
Nuni Omot spearheaded the effort with 21 points, and Aliou Diarra added a double-double of 20 points along with 10 rebounds.
Rwanda managed to achieve a remarkable 50% shooting accuracy from three-point range and 62.5% from the field overall.
Madut Akec led the scoring for the River Hoopers with 21 points, while Raphael Putney contributed 12.
In the meantime, Angola's reigning champions, Petro de Luanda, are returning to the BAL Semifinals following their victory over Tunisia's US Monastir with a score of 95–84.
Kendrick Ray was the top scorer with 20 points, and Yanick Moreira contributed 15.

Patrick Hardy Jr. scored 17 points to lead US Monastir, while Firas Lahyani contributed 15 in the defeat.
The BAL Semifinals will take place on Wednesday, July 11.
Libya's Al Ahli Tripoli will take on APR, followed by a match between Egypt's Al Ittihad and Angola's Petro de Luanda.
