Bad news for Real Madrid as Brazil attacker ruled out for 2 months
Real Madrid's highly anticipated start to the season has been dealt with a setback with the news that Brazilian sensation Endrick will be sidelined for at least two months due to a hamstring injury.
According to Managing Madrid, young attacker, who had been in the final stages of recovery from the same injury initially sustained in May, suffered a relapse during a recent training session in the United States.
This re-injury is a cruel blow for Endrick, who was already facing the challenge of adapting to a new country and a new tactical system under Real Madrid's new coach, Xabi Alonso.
Having yet to complete a full training session with Alonso, Endrick will now require additional time to regain fitness and learn the team's strategies once he finally returns to action.
The extended absence of Endrick, one of Real Madrid's major summer acquisitions, opens the door for other attacking talents to step up.
Among them, Gonzalo Garcia is expected to play a more prominent role this season. Garcia recently enjoyed an impressive outing at the FIFA Club World Cup, where he clinched the Best Scorer award by netting four goals and providing one assist.
Endrick's journey at Real Madrid has been fraught with challenges, as he has struggled to fully adjust since his arrival.
