Asisat Oshoala: Super Falcons legend named Player of the Month in Saudi Arabia

Nigerian football icon Asisat Oshoala has been named the Player of the Month for September 2025 in the Saudi Women's Premier League.

The veteran forward has made a remarkable start to her journey with Al Hilal.

Oshoala's performance in her debut month, involved scoring three goals and providing two assists across three matches.

The veteran who was part of the Super Falcons team that won the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) led her team to an undefeated run with three wins and no losses.

Oshoala joined Al Hilal from NWSL side Bay FC in another stunning move following an illustrious career.

The Saudi Women's League announced Oshoala as the award winner through a statement on social media.

The statement said, "In her first month in our league 🤩👏🏼 3 goals ↔️ 2 goal assists 🅰️

"Asisat Oshoala @alhilal_ws wins the award for the best player of the month 🔝👏🏼 #Womens_Premier_League 🏆

In her debut for Al Hilal she scored a penalty in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Al Qadsiah.

Oshoala continued her scoring form, converting another penalty in a 2-3 win against Al Ahli, and was back on the scoresheet with a goal in a 3-0 triumph over NEOM.

These performances in September, totaling three goals and two assists earned her the prestigious Player of the Month accolade.
