Arsenal legend Thierry Henry set for coaching role at PSG
Legendary Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is reportedly set for a coaching role at French club Paris Saint-Germaine, PSG.
Henry is set to take up the role of assistant manager at PSG should the club name Julian Nagelsmann as the next manager.
This report is according to TalkSport through the French media outlet, L’Equipe.
Henry to join PSG
PSG are in advanced talks with Nagelsmann to become the next manager of the club with current manager Christophe Galtier set to be sacked.
Galtier is expected to leave his role as the boss at the capital club despite leading PSG to the Ligue 1 title in the just-concluded season.
With Galtier set for the exit door, L’Equipe says former Bayern Munich boss Nagelsmann will be named as a replacement and the German is keen to add Henry as his assistant.
Nagelsmann has been a target for several clubs following his shock sack by Bayern earlier in the season.
The young manager wants to work with Henry who have had previous experiences in charge of MLS side Montreal Impact and with Belgium.
Galtier’s departure will be the latest in PSG following the confirmation of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, with Neymar Junior also reportedly on the move.
