Arsenal defender believes he could have delivered the Premier League for the Gunners
Arsenal defender William Saliba has spoken about the disappointment of missing out on the Premier League last season and the Gunners’ chances of beating Manchester City to the title this year.
Saliba key to Arsenal’s success
Saliba had a superb 2022/23 season with Arsenal, in his first full season at the club after spending the previous year on loan at Marseille, and remains an integral part of the Gunners’ team this season.
The centre-back played 27 games in the Premier League for Arsenal, leading them to the brink of winning their first Premier League since 2004 before getting injured towards the end of the season.
Saliba was injured in a Europa League encounter against Sporting CP and missed the last 11 games of the Premier League season as Arsenal’s title charge capitulated, allowing Manchester City to win a third consecutive league title.
