AFC Leopards Narrow Gap on Gor Mahia After Victory Over Mara Sugar

AFC Leopards claimed a crucial victory over Mara Sugar, narrowing the gap to league leaders Gor Mahia to just six points, with Gor Mahia on 64 points and Leopards now on 58 in the title race.

Heading into their clash against Mara Sugar at the Nyayo Stadium, AFC Leopards were in a slump after two consecutive defeats, including a narrow 1-0 loss to rivals Gor Mahia in the Mashemeji Derby and a heavy 3-0 loss to Kenya Police.

In contrast, Mara Sugar entered the match with significant momentum, having won 3 of their last 4 games, highlighted by 1-0 victories over Tusker FC and Kariobangi Sharks.
