Abdelhak Benchikha: Simba appoint Robertinho's successor
East African powerhouse Simba Sports Club have unveiled new head coach Abdelhak Benchikha, who joins in as the replacement to the sacked Roberto Oliviera alias Robertinho.
Benchikha won the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup with USM Algiers, after ironically beating Simba's nemesis Young Africans SC.

The other twist to this development is that Benchikha's predecessor Robertinho, was showed the exit door after a 5-1 humiliation at the hands of Yanga.
Meanwhile, during the past season, the Algerian coach led USM Algers to 30 matches, recording 12 wins, six draws and 12 losses.
He was also previously at the helm with RSB Berkane, where he accumulated 11 matches, winning three, drawing thrice and suffering defeats on five occasions.

At Simba Benchikha's immediate task will be to guide them past the CAF Champions League group stages.
They open their group stage journey with a home bout against Zambia's Asec Mimosas slated for Sunday at the Benjamin Mkapa, Stadium.
In the Tanzania Premier League, they sit third with 19 points in eight matches. Having played a game fewer, they trail leaders Yanga by five five points.
