The Kenya Rugby Union has tabled an ambitious bid to host a leg of the upcoming HSBC World Rugby 7s series following the conclusion of CHAN 2024.
The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has officially submitted a bid to host a leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium.
As reported by SportPesa Blog, a successful bid would mark the first time Kenya hosts a leg of the global rugby sevens circuit.
The proposal focuses on hosting one of the three Division 2 events in 2026, following World Rugby’s introduction of a new three-tier model set to take effect after the 2025 season.
