Preparations for the highly anticipated third leg of the FIA World Rally Championship, the WRC Safari Rally Kenya, are reaching their climax, promising a thrilling spectacle over the Easter weekend.
Set to unfold from March Thursday 28 to Sunday March 31 in Naivasha, this iconic rally, revered as one of the toughest in the world, is poised to captivate rally enthusiasts locally and globally alike.
The 71st staging of the event will commence with an official flag-off ceremony at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Thursday, presided over by President William Ruto, before traversing the challenging terrain of the Rift Valley, encompassing several farms, ranches, and conservancies around Lake Naivasha and Lake Elementaita.

“The preparations for the Safari Rally are proceeding smoothly, and we are currently at the tail-end, with meticulous attention to detail. Our dedicated teams are working tirelessly to ensure that all aspects of the event have been addressed,” said Gacheru.
