Kalle Rovanpera unexpectedly joined Rally Poland leading Toyota to a dominant 1-2 finish after a last-minute team change.

Reigning world champion Kalle Rovanpera has delivered a masterclass in adaptability and speed at Rally Poland, steering his Toyota Gazoo Racing team to a memorable 1-2 finish.

Called to action at the last minute to replace Sebastien Ogier, who was injured during a reconnaissance mission, Rovanpera, alongside co-driver Jonne Halttunen, had less than 48 hours to prepare for the rally.

Despite the limited preparation time, Rovanpera and his GR Yaris Rally1 showcased an incredible performance marking his 13th career victory in the FIA World Rally Championship.

Elfyn Evans, Rovanpera’s teammate, followed closely and secured the second place, turning the event into a showcase of Toyota's dominance in the motorsport.

Evans' consistent pace throughout the rally ensured a strong finish, reinforcing Toyota GAZOO Racing’s reputation for reliability and performance.

Completing the podium was Adrien Fourmaux from M-Sport Ford, who managed a commendable third place.

Toyota’s celebration was twofold as this victory also marked a significant milestone in the manufacturer’s rallying history further cementing their status as leaders in the sport.

The team’s joy was palpable, as they now look forward to carrying this momentum into the rest of the 2024 season where they aim to continue their winning streak and uphold their championship title.
