KMSF to honor top motorsports figures at the 2023 Annual Awards Gala in Nairobi on Saturday.

The Kenya Motor Sports Federation (KMSF) is set to honor the country's top motorsport personalities at the much-anticipated 2023 Annual Awards Gala.

Scheduled to take place at the Carnivore Restaurant on Saturday, January 27 the event promises to be a night of celebration and recognition for those who have made remarkable contributions to Kenyan motorsports over the past year.

In what has become a revered tradition in the Kenyan motorsports community, the KMSF will celebrate its 2023 championship winners across various categories.

From Tarmac Racing and 4X4 to Autocross, the national rally series (KNRC), National Rally Raid, and Karting championships, the night will acknowledge the skill and determination of Kenya's racing elite.

The highlight of the evening is expected to be the announcement of the prestigious 'Motorsport Personality of the Year 2023' award. This highly coveted title, shrouded in secrecy until the gala, adds an element of suspense and excitement to the event.

Last year, Karan Patel received this honor, recognized for his exceptional achievements in the national rally championship and the continental ARC series.

Among the stars to be feted are Kenya National Rally Champions, siblings Jasmeet and Ravi Chana, and Rally Raid overall champion Tim Jessop.

Neel Gohil, a rising star in Kenyan motorsports, will also be honored for his remarkable double win in the National Autocross category.

At just 15, Neel's impressive performance in senior categories has marked him as a driver to watch.

Supported by sponsors like Shell, Taisho Parts, and Going Outdoor, Neel is eagerly anticipating his debut in the motorsport scene with a locally constructed Subaru N10.

Karting champions Wilf Alobo (Bambino), Rio Bixente (Cadet), and Krrish Vadgama (Rotax Junior) will be recognized for their exceptional performances on asphalt.

The tarmac champions of the last year, Leroy Otto (4WD) and Moses Mwendwa (2WD), will also receive accolades for their achievements.

The event will further celebrate Karan Patel and Tauseef Khan for clinching the FIA African Rally Championship (ARC) drivers and navigators titles, respectively.

The National Rally Raid Championship, a highlight of last year's season, will also be in focus.

Despite challenging conditions, drivers like Mark Glen and Alasdair Keith demonstrated exceptional skill, winning the Prototype and Modified championship titles, respectively.
